Romero - Identity
This work represents an unshackling of the chains that kept Sasha from becoming her most authentic self. Like any exploration of the self, this solo is highly experimental and ventures through a wide variety of styles and genres that have been influential in her musical and personal life. It is based around the theme of incomplete intervals of the 7th and 9th, a stagnant tonal center of A, a repetitive mantra of the 5th A-E, and an eventual resolution into the more stable octave in the key of Bb.
