Romero - Song for Sierra

$40.00

A memorialization of my dear partner’s late horse, Sierra, who saved her life three times and gave her more companionship than most people experience in a lifetime. Inspired by “Sång Till Lotta” by Jan Sandström and Jarrett McCourt, this solo starts with a bittersweet hymn that slowly transforms Into a heartfelt song of appreciation. Midway through the piece, the mood shifts to a sonic representation of the memory of riding at full speed through the plains before returning to the hymn as the acceptance of death closes the song.

Instrumentation: solo trombone, piano
